Polyaniline-based electrospun polycaprolactone nanofibers: preparation and characterization

This work provides a convenient strategy for preparation of conducting polycaprolactone (PCL)/polyaniline (PAni) nanofibers, useful development optoelectronic sensors and devices. PCL/PAni nanofibers were obtained by electrospinning technique characterized SEM, FTIR, thermal analysis, DC electrical conductivity. The influence the experimental conditions in process, such as applied voltage, on nanofiber morphology was discussed detail. Incorporation PAni into PCL significantly increased conductivity from non-detectable level neat to 0.032 ± 0.022 S/cm containing 7.5 wt.% PAni.
